One of their more notable victories was the capture of naval-officer-turned-pirate Joseph Bannister. Bannister had fled Port Royal in a 30-gun frigate (the ''Golden Fleece'') and gone pirate before being trapped in the Cayman Islands by the squadron's Captain Mitchell of the ''Ruby''.</li> |
