Captain, I've need of yer talents, and yer ship. As ye know, Tortuga was once a colony of the French crown, and we pirates more or less called this place home long before we wrested true control from France. Since then, the Brethren have gotten along well enough with Tortuga's former colonial masters, after all, they still have goods to sell, and we have pirates with gold to spend.
I must admit, though, I've never completely trusted 'em not to try and take Tortuga back someday. There have been incidents, of course, some worse than others, so we must remain vigilant.
That's why I'm concerned about news of a French flotilla spotted off Booby Cay. They're refusing to answer any hails, and they're definitely no merchants. I'd like ye to sail out and hail'em yerself, Captain. If they don't reply, hail'em with hot iron.
France lost Tortuga fair and square. I won't stand for treachery, not from them, and not from anyone else. If that flotilla ignores yer hails, send them to the bottom.
