A strange man on the docks has asked you to find his boots for him if you're ever on "the Uncharted Island."
Mission Notes
This is a Treasure Hunt mission. You will see a lump of meat at the start, which you should take with you. Around the next corner, you encounter a hungry Puma. If you feed it (with the meat), he will fight at your side.
After that, just follow the path, kill the NPCs and dig for the two boots.
After you complete the mission, Samuel Bunn will inform you that those boots are not the one he was looking for and that you can keep them.
The Dirty Old Boots is a avatar customization option, not a real item. Dirty Old Boots also does work with your Peg leg.
