Marks of Victory, Trade and War are valuable awards for participating in PvP and RvR activities.

They are stored in the player's Personal Inventory, similar to Pennants and Commendations. Marks can be exchanged for various items, or used in conquering or defending ports.

Marks can be sold in the Auction House or given to other players. This gives PvP players a way to profit from their high-risk endeavors while PvE or Economy focussed players get access to the rewards provided by Marks of Victory.

Marks of Victory and Trade[]

Marks of Victory are rewarded for defeating other players in PvP combat. You only receive marks for defeating enemy players who are no more than 15 levels below you.

For each Mark Of Victory received, you also gain a Mark of Trade, exchangeable for different rewards.
A very few missions also reward Marks of Victory.

Marks of War[]

"A formal letter, bearing the seal of the Crown that acknowledges the bearer's great contributions to the war effort in the West Indies."

Marks of War can be acquired by completing special missions, given by Garrison Commanders in various ports. They can only be used to generate unrest points while attacking or defending a port, though they give more points than other unrest supplies and marks.

Marks of Wars are high value items to many end-game players, dependent upon the intensity of the current RvR conditions. A Mark of War acquired by a starting players in one of the beginning ports will provide a most welcome stimulus to any beginning player's wallet. It merely requires visiting and listing the Mark of War at the local Auction-house or traveling to one of the Capital Ports in the game.

NOTE:There is an in game break in naming convention when it comes to more recently added / updated ship items. Prior convention is to list the name of the ship to be refitted in the Refit: item name, the details shown by hovering the mouse over the icon reveal the ship that is created by the refit.

This can be seen by the item name for the Refit of a Hector Frigate to the Adventure Frigate. The Refit: item name states the Adventure instead of the Hector. (This is also the case in the Privateer section with the San Fernando / Santa Rosa refit).

The listing here correctly shows which ship is refit and which ship is created in the same manner as it does for other ships, the reader needs to take note that the Refit: item name in game is labeled differently.
