The priest is frustrated with the local witch woman, because he sees her as undermining his efforts to bring the word of God to his people. So he plans to beat her at her own game, and you can help: go into battle against the enemy, and carry a relic with you which the priest will give you (and make sure to let your crew know about it). When you return victorious, the whole port will see the its power.
