Each nation's auction house is located in a large, unconquerable port. In addition, every port has a small [[local market]] which function identically to the auction at a lower scale.

If your Trade Union Reputation is not at least indifferent (-499) in that shop, you are prohibited from selling in that port. Of course, you can try a different Port where your business is desired.
