Factions

The NPC societies are called Factions. Unofficially the factions can be divided in major and minor factions. Major factions are listed in their Reputation window. Minor factions are mostly pirate groups and killing these NPCs can gain you reputation with some of the Major factions. For more information see the Reputation article.
