Damn me for a fool, Captain. So distracted was I by this accursed French expeditionary force, I let my eye wander from the Mithridati. Ye've encountered them before, haven't yet? A bunch of rum-addled madmen, the lot of them, and all the more dangerous because their costumes and colorful ways make some take them less than seriously. A mistake I don't intend to make twice.
My lookouts tell me the Mithridati are hitting one of our patrols at Anse des Palmistes, and hitting 'em hard. Get to yer ship, Captain, and save them if ye can!
Those men are patrolling those waters on my orders. I'll take it as a personal favor if ye can get to them in time. I never should have let those damned Frenchmen distract me!
