Produced by 'Oliphant' Indiaman (recipe) Information based on version 1.2.69.2 |
A powerful Indiaman with almost as much firepower as a Fourth Rate Lineship, making for an optimal combination of merchant and combat strengths. She has a heavier boardside than almost any frigate, but she can't withstand as much punishment as many of the purely combat-oriented ships.

Comparable Ships
The East Indiaman is most comparable to the Heavy Frigate in size and armament. She is essentially a larger version of the West Indiaman, therefore, due tot he shape of her hull, she doesnt not sail as well as her military counterpart.
Distinguishing Characteristics
- The hull is very tall for her length, with a draught of 10 meters.
- The width and depth of the hull, along with the small sail area, make for a very slow ship. To compensate for this, her firepower is adequate for the Line of Battle.
- Her ornate stern door and short sails are the hallmark to distinguish her from warships of similar appearance.
Sources
The ship was modeled by Marion van Ghent from plans drawn by herself.
